Don’t neglect shareholders when it comes to sales [Video]

Individuals may have more impact on acquisitions than they think. While the logistics of merger deals may be tricky, it helps companies to know the specifics so they approach them the right way. 

In a USA Today column, markets reporter Matt Krantz said that shareholders and boards of directors both get to speak their mind during a sale. While this may seem like fundamental information, shareholders still might not know how much influence they can have, compared to the board.

However, Krantz also said that shareholders can get overruled. With the basic power structure in place, businesses can move forward while still listening to input.
