Signature Technologies acquires GlassHouse Technologies’ US Consulting division
Signature Technology Group recently announced that it has acquired the US Consulting division of GlassHouse Technologies, according to a press release.
Signature Technology Group is a provider of maintenance services for data centers. The company also offers hardware and software deployments and consulting services. With the acquisition of GlassHouse Technologies, the company seeks to add consultants to several of its divisions, such as Strategy, Virtualization/Cloud and Data Center/Migration, according to the press release.
GlassHouse Technolgies provides enterprise storage services that aim to reduce risks and costs, and improve efficiency. Through this acquisition strategy, Signature Technology Group looks to expand its professional services offerings through the addition of the GlassHouse US Consulting division.
"STG continues to be focused on delivering the highest quality services to our customers and partners that allow them to maximize their IT investments. Our continuous evolution is a commitment to our customers that they can continue to rely on us to be their primary data center services solution partner," said Charles Layne, President and CEO, Signature Technology Group, in a press release.
All of GlassHouse Technolgies' US Consulting employees, including consultants, project managers, technical contractors, account executives and delivery management, will be joining the Signature Technology Group team, to continue to offer high-end services to customers. The two companies had already been partners for a long time before the acquisition, according to a CRN article.
"A longtime partner of GlassHouse, STG is well known for its focus on leading-edge data center and cloud technologies and its legendary customer service. We share the same technology focus and values, and we are thrilled to be joining forces with STG," Steve Sharp, CEO of GlassHouse Technologies, said in a prepared statement, according to CRN.
GlassHouse Technologies reportedly experienced significant losses over the last several years. Signature Technology Group plans to use the acquisition to continue to grow and build on existing customer relationships.
